Because up here in the PNW, dogs go hard.
I’m Jess!
I’m Jess and I’ve been a pet groomer in this area for over a decade. I can’t walk down the street without seeing one of my clients galloping towards me, dragging their person behind them, excited to say hi and get some scritches and a treat. You see, while so many animals fear going to anything called an “appointment,” my clients are always happy to see me and can’t wait to come back. That’s because I provide a happy and fear-free environment where they are treated with love, empathy, and respect, and when they leave, they feel better. All those little annoying burrs and mattes and nails, and ear wax, and tangled hair – all the result of just being playfully themselves, magically disappear when I am done. I specialize in animals who have been rescued from tough lives, have experienced trauma, or are simply just a bit neuro divergent. Often they can’t be groomed due to trauma reactions and therefore end up feeling even worse over time. Imagine the joy I feel when I run into one of those critters on the street and they can’t wait to tangle me up in their leash and lick my face!
